Cloth Diapers for Your Precious Angel

When you have your first baby, there are a lot of things to think about.  What type of crib will the baby sleep in?  Will I make my own food, or buy it from the store?  Is holistic medicine better for the child?  When it comes to diapers, there are also numerous things to think about.  Many mothers and fathers decide to use cloth diapers instead of store bought disposables because of the unbelievable differences that they make.  If you are considering cloth diapers, here are a few reasons to go that route.

The number one reason to use cloth is because cloth diapers are cost effective. Diapers are the most expensive thing you will buy for your baby, aside from formula.  A family can save over $2,000 by using cloth diapers instead of disposable ones.

Disposable diapers are also very harmful to the environment.  Because they are bulky, used only once, and are not decomposable, they help to fill up landfills very quickly.  Not only will they fill up garbage landfills quickly, but they will also fill up your garbage cans quickly, which means more frequent stinky trips to the dumpster.

Disposable diapers are also filled with chemical crystals that help to absorb moisture in the diaper.  Bumgenius cloth diapers do not contain any chemicals, so you can rest assure that your baby isn’t introduced to any potentially harmful chemicals at such a young age.  These chemicals found in disposable diapers can also irritate your baby’s sensitive skin, creating painful and sore rashes that won’t go away.
